Oppressively dark, elbow to elbow, strobe and fog-clad mystery man techno delivered with a kind of vital urgency reminiscent of the blistering punk pastlife discography of MattxIbarra. On Feeling of Despair we can hear Ibarra charting the topography of apocalyptic headspaces and all the while sending his metronomaniacal kickdrum pacing along, reminding us that at the end of the world, the only thing we can possibly do is dance. The whole set is arranged with ambient passages that romanticize these dark vibes as the framework for a three-part driveby of sawed off acid - quick, rapid, and incensed with replayability. The accompanying artwork (DJ Speedsick) is a blotter-saturated skulls and war xeroxcore masterpiece that masterfully highlights the piss and vinegar barnburner that Ibarra has delivered us. This is the doomsday sound, and these are the end times.
